PADI Public Safety Underwater Evidence Recovery Diver Course with PRO SCUBA CENTER
The excitement, thrill, and rewards of underwater evidence recovery can be one of the most rewarding aspects of public safety diving. In these situations the public safety diver has been called upon by law enforcement to locate, recover and preserve evidence from a crime. Therefore our recreational search and recovery techniques have to be modified to protect any evidence that may exist on or around the item that is recovered. We also must document all aspects of the recovery and preservation including the chain of custody. Remember this evidence will probably end up in a courtroom and anything that was done incorrectly or not documented can result in a criminal going free.
If you want the opportunity to be a valuable assest to law enforcement and our criminal justice system, then learn the professional way to collect and preserve evidence that has been "disposed" of in the water. Prerequisites
To enroll in the PADI Public Safety Underwater Evidence Recovery Diver course, you must be:
- 18 years or older
- A PADI Search & Recovery Diver certification
- A PADI Public Safety Search & Recovery Diver

Your Next Adventure
Since you have mastered evidence recovery you may want to progress to Public Safety Underwater Body Recovery Specialist, Public Safety Underwater Vehicle Recovery Diver or Underwater Crime Scene Investigator.
Be Better Prepared
Both the Public Safety Diver and the Public Safety Rescue Diver course would be beneficial to prepare for this course.
